9-hole team league · 2026 season
Each head-to-head match awards 1 point for each hole, 2 points for winning the match, and 1 point for the lowest total net score. Ties split the available points.
Handicaps use course rating and slope. The lowest 4 of the 6 most recent scores count after at least 3 scores are posted. Regular players receive 100% and substitutes receive 85% of that handicap.
Substitute points are credited to the team. Ghost scores may earn up to 3 points. A forfeit awards 3 points to the winner and 0 points to the forfeiting golfer.
Every completed event counts toward the season standings. Playoffs compare team hole points, then combined individual hole points, excluding match and medal bonuses. If still tied, the lower combined team gross less team handicap strokes on the hardest hole wins. A further tie remains unresolved for commissioner review.
A golfer must appear in at least three completed regular-season league events to qualify for the playoffs. Canceled events and unplayed byes do not count. Rosters lock when the final regular-season event begins. The commissioner checks appearances and approves the playoff roster before scheduling playoff matches. Any injury replacement or other exception must be documented and communicated to affected captains before play.
Golfers compare hole-by-hole scores with their opponents before returning the scorecard. Report a correction or protest to the commissioner within 24 hours of the event, identifying the hole, the disputed score, and the supporting information. The commissioner reviews both accounts before finalizing or correcting the result and records the reason for any adjustment. A pending dispute must be resolved before the affected playoff advancement is confirmed.
Before a postponed match or playoff begins, the commissioner announces whether the originally assigned or updated handicaps will be used. The default is to retain the original match handicaps for a postponed match and confirm playoff handicaps before each playoff round. Record any required handicap lock or adjustment through the existing event override controls, with a reason. Do not change a handicap after play solely because of the result.

Follow course staff instructions immediately when play is suspended. The commissioner decides whether to cancel or schedule a makeup and records the decision in the event. Submit all completed holes; do not invent scores for unplayed holes. If groups finish different numbers of holes, the commissioner reviews the entire event before finalizing any results. Arrange a makeup within 14 days, subject to course availability and the season end date. The commissioner announces any exception before results are finalized.
Be ready at your assigned tee time. Notify the commissioner or captain as soon as you know you will be late or absent. A 10-minute grace period applies only when course staff can accommodate it without delaying other groups. A late golfer may join at the next hole with commissioner approval; missed holes follow the saved partial-card policy. The commissioner records any forfeit using the league's configured forfeit points. A scheduled bye is not a player no-show.
Register all golfers before they play. Use no more than one substitute per two-player team in a match unless the commissioner approves an exception before tee-off. A golfer from an opposing team or another division may substitute only with prior commissioner approval. Captains must confirm the approved lineup before play. Record exceptions before finalizing results; use the existing substitute assignment and approval process.
Arrive at least 10 minutes before your tee time. Play ready golf when safe and appropriate to the format, keep up with the group ahead, and follow the course's posted pace target. Be ready to play when it is your turn and record scores without delaying the following group. Contact course staff or the commissioner if your group cannot maintain position; any penalty requires a commissioner decision under an announced league policy.
Playoff advancement compares team hole points, then combined individual hole points. Exclude match and medal bonuses at both stages. If both totals tie, compare combined team gross strokes less allocated team handicap strokes on the hardest hole (lowest handicap index). Allocate the difference between the teams’ combined handicaps by the hole handicap order. Lower adjusted team strokes wins. If the hardest hole also ties, leave advancement unresolved for commissioner review; no further countback is assumed.
No closest-to-the-pin competition is held during playoff or championship rounds. CTP awards apply only to regular-season events where the competition is held.
